For more than 60 years since its foundation, Gyeongsang National University has been educating talented students who have served not only for local community but also for national prosperity by leading them to be bigger asset in many places such as communities, industries, businesses and around the country and the world. Gyeongsang National University is well known for many achievements in applied life science along with biochemistry, agricultural science, and veterinary. One of these is that the researchers at the university discovered a way to make cloned Turkish Angora cats glow red when exposed to ultraviolet light in 2007. The Graduate School of Medicine and Public Health at Gyeongsang National University is a medical training and research institution in South Gyeongsang Province. Gyeongsang National University Hospital was opened with 419 beds in 1987 as the university hospital of Gyeongsang National University and is located next to the college of medicine in Chilam campus and has grown to a general and multispecialty medical hospital with 950 beds operating with specialty centers such as the local cancer center opened as the first local cancer center of its kinds in the country and rheumatoid arthritis center. Gyeongsang National University Hospital at Changwon is newly open as the second Gyeongsang National University hospital in February, 2016. Кампус
Национальный университет Кёнсанга имеет четыре кампуса. Два кампуса находятся в городе Чинчжу, один – в городе Тонъён, и один – в городе Чханвон. Кампус Каджо расположен в районе Каджо-дон города Чинчжу, недалеко от развязки скоростных автомагистралей Тонъён–Тэджон и Намхэ, кампус Чилам расположен в районе Чилам-дон, прямо у реки Нам, кампус Тонъён находится в районе Инпён-дон города Тонъён, а кампус Чханвон – в районе Уйчхан-гу города Чханвон.
Кампус Гаджуа
Кампус Гаджуа — главный кампус Национального университета Кёнсан. На территории кампуса расположены большинство зданий и сооружений университета, включая администрацию университета, студенческий центр, а также корпуса факультетов искусств, гуманитарных наук, права, образования, экономики и бизнеса, естественных наук, сельского хозяйства и наук о жизни, инженерии, ветеринарии и аспирантуры. Площадь кампуса Гаджуа превышает 1 300 000 м², и насчитывает более шестидесяти зданий.
Чиламский кампус
Национальная университетская больница Кёнсан, уникальное учреждение для подготовки студентов-медиков и медсестер, также находится на территории кампуса. Площадь кампуса составляет 103 000 м², на его территории расположены такие здания, как общежитие, студенческий центр и медицинская библиотека.
Кампус Тонгён
Колледж морских наук расположен в Инпхён-доне, Тонъён. Кампус включает в себя десять кафедр морских наук и состоит из пятнадцати зданий, среди которых административный корпус колледжа, учебный и исследовательский центр, спортивный зал, библиотека, студенческий центр и женское общежитие. Площадь кампуса составляет 147 000 м².
Кампус Чанвон
Кампус Чанвон — это кампус, объединяющий университет и промышленность, основанный в 2017 году. Кафедра машиностроительной конвергенции — единственная кафедра, расположенная в кампусе Чанвон.
