Lussy sur Morges is first mentioned in 1026 as in villa Luciaco. Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 9.0% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.1%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 58.5% is used for growing crops and 5.6% is pastures, while 10.7% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is flowing water. It consists of the village of Lussy sur Morges and the hamlet of Coinsin, which was known in the 15th and 16th Centuries as Saint André.
