Valeyres sous Ursins (valɛʁ su. z‿yʁsɛ̃, literally Valeyres under Ursins) is a municipality in the district of Jura Nord Vaudois of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

Valeyres sous Ursins is first mentioned in 1184 as de Valeres. Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 2.4% and transportation infrastructure made up 1.0%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 63.2% is used for growing crops and 10.4% is pastures, while 2.1% is used for orchards or vine crops. The municipalities of Cronay, Cuarny, Pomy, Ursins, Valeyres sous Ursins and Villars Epeney are considering a merger on at a date in the future into the new municipality with an, as of 2011, undetermined name.

Valeyres sous Ursins has a population of as of 2008, 4.8% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (1999–2009 ) the population has changed at a rate of 32.2%. It has changed at a rate of 27.6% due to migration and at a rate of 5.7% due to births and deaths. Most of the population (as of 2000) speaks French (172 or 95.6%) as their first language, with German being second most common (2 or 1.1%) and Italian being third (2 or 1.1%). as of 2000, there were 68 people who were single and never married in the municipality. There were 102 married individuals, 4 widows or widowers and 6 individuals who are divorced. as of 2000, there were 73 private households in the municipality, and an average of 2.5 persons per household. In 2000, a total of 71 apartments (95.9% of the total) were permanently occupied, while 1 apartment was seasonally occupied and 2 apartments (2.7%) were empty.

In the 2007 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 45.36% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the Green Party (16.17%), the SP (12.32%) and the EDU Party (10.69%). In the federal election, a total of 111 votes were cast, and the voter turnout was 73.5%.
