Округ располагался в юго-западной части города Калгари, к югу от Glenmore Trail и к западу от железнодорожной линии Canadian Pacific Kansas City. Бывший премьер-министр Стивен Харпер представлял этот округ на протяжении своего пребывания в должности.
История
Избирательный округ был создан в 1987 году из частей избирательных округов Боу-Ривер, Калгари-Уэст, Калгари-Ист, Калгари-Саут и небольшой части округа Калгари-Центр. Округ был упразднен в ходе федеральной избирательной реформы в Канаде в 2012 году, 80% его территории вошло в состав округа Калгари-Херитедж, а 20% – в состав округа Калгари-Миднапур.
Члены парламента
Все три депутата от этого избирательного округа были известными политиками: Бобби Спарроу занимал пост в кабинете министров под руководством Ким Кэмпбелл, а Престон Мэннинг был лидером Реформенской партии Канады с 1987 года и лидером оппозиции с 1997 по 2000 год. Последним депутатом от округа в его юго-западной конфигурации был премьер-министр Стивен Харпер, экономист и преподаватель, не связанный с политикой напрямую.
