Экономика Триоле исторически была преимущественно сельскохозяйственной. Со временем население изменилось, и многие наемные рабочие стали мелкими плантаторами и землевладельцами. После проведения политики диверсификации в 70-х, 80-х и 90-х годах значительная часть населения перешла в сферу производства и туризма. Инфраструктура
У Триоле есть почти идеально прямая главная дорога, которая ведет в северо-западную прибрежную деревню и популярный туристический курорт Гранд-Бей. Этимология

Триолет — крупнейшая деревня на Маврикии как по численности населения, так и по площади. Триолет — самая протяжённая деревня на Маврикии, простирающаяся почти на три мили от Солитуда до Тру-о-Биш.
Политика
Триоле является частью основной оси избирательного округа № 5 (Триоле-Памплемусс). Исторически это был оплот политической династии Рамгулам и округ, поддерживающий Лейбористскую партию Маврикия. Однако значительная часть населения также поддерживает династию Джугнаут. Различные группы, соревнующиеся друг с другом на деревенских выборах, в большей или меньшей степени придерживаются одной из этих двух основных партий. На всеобщих выборах 2014 года премьер-министр того времени, доктор Рамгулам, потерял свое место в парламенте, проиграв выборы в округе № 5.
