Chinland, officially the State of Chinland, is a self governing polity in Southeast Asia. Its claimed territory encompasses Myanmar's Chin State. It controls nearly all of the Chin State in western Myanmar, along the borders with Bangladesh and India. The Chinland Council, the ruling authority of Chinland, stated that one of its main goals is the formation of federal union, where Chinland will become an autonomous federal unit within a future federal Myanmar once the State Administration Council military junta has been overthrown. The constitution aimed at creating a nation state for the Chin people following the principles of self determination with a "coming together federal vision", i. e., a bottom up approach for the establishment of future federal union in Myanmar. Чинланд, официально Государство Чинланд, является самоуправляющимся образованием в Юго-Восточной Азии. Его заявленная территория охватывает штат Чин Мьянмы. Чинланд контролирует почти всю территорию штата Чин на западе Мьянмы, вдоль границ с Бангладеш и Индией. Флаг, используемый Советом Чинланда, идентичен флагу Национального фронта Чин, который отличается от предыдущего флага штата Чин. Он состоит из трех горизонтальных полос красного, белого и синего цветов, с изображением двух птиц носорогов в центре.
Статус
Хотя в конституции заявляется о стремлении к "федеральному демократическому союзу", статус Чинленда по отношению к Мьянме в ней не обсуждался, что породило предположения о возможном сепаратизме. Однако в конституции Совета Чинленда четко прописано, что федеральный союз является одной из его главных целей, и что Совет Чинленда и правительство будут действовать в координации с демократическим Правительством национального единства, Консультативным советом национального единства и другими "федеральными субъектами".
