Начал свою карьеру в 1980 году в качестве гитариста немецкой трэш-метал группы Holy Moses, возглавляемой его бывшей женой Сабиной Класен. В 1989 году группа приобрела дом в деревне Боргентрейх-Бюне, расположенной недалеко от Варбурга в земле Северный Рейн-Вестфалия. В 2019 году Классен и музыканты из оригинального состава Richthofen основали группу Seelenwalzer, отсылая к названию первого альбома Richthofen. Дебютный альбом Totgeglaubt – что в переводе с немецкого означает "считавшийся мертвым" – будет выпущен на лейбле Massacre Records в мае 2019 года.

Чарты

В 2003 году альбом Die Apokalyptischen Reiter's Have a Nice Trip стал первым альбомом, спродюсированным Энди Класеном, который попал в чарты, достигнув 95-го места в Германии. С 2007 года Legion of the Damned из Нидерландов регулярно попадают в немецкие чарты с альбомами, спродюсированными Энди Класеном. Sons of the Jackal достигли 54-го места, а в следующем, 2008 году, они даже дважды попали в чарты, заняв 70-е место с Feel The Blade (и 64-е в Австрии) и 60-е место с Cult of the Dead.
